Partnership: How Boeing Helped Us Plant 80,000 Trees

The July day was hot and the sky was smoky from the Sand Fire, but that didn’t stop the 30 dedicated volunteers from Boeing.

Gathering at the Betty Davis Picnic Area of Griffith Park, the volunteers rolled up their sleeves. Their mission: to water nearly 100 newly planted trees. Their work helped ensure that there will still be shade and beauty after drought, water restrictions and insect pests have devastated the park’s tree population.Read more >>

LA is Greener Thanks to LA Galaxy

Last month, all of us at TreePeople had a blast watching Team USA and LA Galaxy’s own Gyasi Zares compete in the international soccer tournament, Copa America Centenario. We were brimming with hometown pride watching Zares represent Los Angeles on an international playing field.

Plug-In to the Los Angeles Business Council Summit

With TreePeople’s mission to inspire and engage people in making Los Angeles sustainable and healthy, we can’t ignore the role that our transportation system plays with its massive consumption of energy, and generation of CO2 and air pollution.
