Honor Earth Mamas and Mother Earth with Tree Dedications

One of our favorite holidays, Earth Day, is on April 22. Close on its heels is Mother’s Day. What better way to celebrate both occasions than by helping to reforest our parks and woodlands? It’s way more meaningful than a bouquet (we think).

From now through April 12, you can make at least two people happy with our special offer on tree dedications. Dedicate a tree to be planted for Earth Day and we’ll give you a 50% discount on a second tree dedicated to your mom–or anyone you love–for Mother’s Day!

Thanks to our tree-friendly supporters, TreePeople plants thousands of seedlings each year to restore Southern California’s natural environment in regions like the Angeles National Forest, which has experienced devastation from fires. A tree you dedicate may be planted there or in other areas we’re restoring, from urban residential streets to the Santa Monica Mountains wilderness.

Mothers have always “gotten” the work of TreePeople. Recently, Chic Mama L.A., a.k.a. Anne Stedman Herwick, explained how TreePeople “promotes sustainability by showing people that there are effective solutions to keeping our earth healthy by planting trees.” Lora Jakobsen wrote on MomAngeles  that TreePeople’s Center for Community Forestry “is one of my favorite places in L.A. to exercise with kids.” Like Herwick, she talks to her children about the function of our educational watershed garden and 216,000-gallon cistern.

We’re honoring earth mamas as well as Mother Earth by offering this special discount on tree dedications. For a $25 donation, order one tree for a favorite loved one in your life and we’ll thank you with a second (or third!) Mother’s Day tree dedication at 50% off. Use discount code EARTH13 at checkout, through April 12.
